Therapeutic Yoga
Designed For The Individual
If there was one thing in your life you could change or improve on, what would it be?
I am both an occupational therapist and a yoga teacher (RYT-200). Through my occupational therapy training, I am skilled at creating client-centered and holistic programs to facilitate participation and success in meaningful daily life activities and occupations, regardless of what they may be. With yoga, I can help you to help yourself to improve on that aspect of your life either using yoga principles for lifestyle, postures, pranayama, and/or meditation. Through all of these methods, I can help you to accomplish those goals and help you attain a better quality of life. Yoga is very therapeutic. However, not all yoga is therapeutic for all people. The needs of each person varies, and so should a yoga practice. Yoga is not meant to be a one-size-fits-all treatment. Rather than going to a yoga class that may actually make things worse for you because it's not designed for you and your specific needs, allow me to work one-one-one with you to personalize a yoga program that will allow you to reap the therapeutic benefits yoga has to offer. This is also a great option for those who simply want a one-on-one yoga session to learn basic yoga poses in order to feel more comfortable walking into a yoga studio for group classes.
As an occupational therapist and yoga teacher, my goal is to adapt a yoga practice to be fully inclusive for individuals of all ages and abilities, regardless of disability.
